William Ray Tolley,Jr.

William Ray ‘Bill’ Tolley, Jr. , 79, of Crooksville, Ohio died at 10:29 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his residence with his beloved daughters by his side.

He was born October 10, 1940 in Crooksville, the son of the late William Ray and Rozella (nee: Cherry) Tolley, Sr.

Bill graduated from McLuney High School and later graduated from Ohio Technical Institute receiving a certificate in Electronics.  He then spent the next three years working for North American Aviation where he repaired and ran specifications on radar and camera equipment.  He then joined the family business with his father and brother, became co-owner of Tolley TV on Tunnel Hill Rd where he worked for 40 years and performed most of the repairs.    He was an active member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville where he was a Sunday School teacher, was a member of the Administrative Board, the church historian and photographer and was on the Outreach and Fall Dinner committees. He served as 4-H advisor for the McLuney Flyers 4-H Club.  Bill was known in his community as someone who was quiet but always helped those in need.

Left behind to mourn his passing are his daughters, Mallory (Robert) Fuhrer and Julie (Fred) Cook; his sisters, Beverly (Drew) Collins, Barbara Rosser and Donna Schooley and his grandchildren, Noah and Rachel Cook and Jennifer and Michael Fuhrer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Jeannine (nee: Spencer) Tolley who died October 26, 2013 and his brother, Roland Dale Tolley.

Private family graveside services will be held at Iliff Cemetery in McLuney where he will be laid to rest next to wife.  Pastor Tim Patton will be the celebrant.
