Timmy Arnold Dillinger

July 29, 1956 ~ April 15, 2022 (age 65)


Timmy A. ‘Red’ Dillinger, 65, of Crooksville, Ohio died at 8:09 PM, Friday, April 15, 2022 at Genesis ER in  Somerset following a brief illness.

He was born Sunday, July 29, 1956 in Zanesville, the son of the late Clarence and Virginia (nee: Moody) Dillinger.

Tim was a self-employed painter and carpenter.  He had also worked at the Crooksville Auto Auction and Rent Smart in New Lexington.  He was well known as a very accomplished lead guitarist for several local bands, including ‘Wells Fargo’, ‘Government Cheese’, ‘Fast Freddie’ and ‘Rum & Coke”.  IN his leasure time, he enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.  He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend.

Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife of 33 years, Lois (nee: Lunn) Dillinger; his children, Bret Marie Dillinger (Christopher Williams), Kenny Dillinger and Patrick Dillinger (Savanna Wayne); his grandchildren, Eian, Ezekiel, Abby and Emmy Dillinger; his brother Terry (Rhonda) Dillinger; his father-n-law and mother-in-law, Al and Linda Lunn; several nieces and nephews; his close friends, John Kokensparger, Ned Elliott, Robert Bookman, Marty Fountain, Jimmy Bookman, Dave Levering and many more friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers, Denzil, Leslie, Tommy and Ray Dillinger and his grandparents, Harry and Ida Moody and Henry and Cora Dillinger.

Family and friends will be received 5-8 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Tim will be cremated following the visitation.
