Lana Jean Head, 70, of Crooksville peacefully passed into eternal life on the morning of Monday, March 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.
She was born one of many children to the late Lyle and Corabelle (nee: Chevalier) Savage on November 5, 1950.
Lana was an intense BINGO player; she was always ready to use her dauber on one of the 75 balls called in a game. She very much enjoyed gambling, the thrill of winning always drove her to the next thing. More than anything she was a devoted family woman. Her grandkids and children were her life, and she was literally never without them. It was said that Lana would lose her skittles if she was without her precious kids.
Left to mourn her passing, are her children, Marcey (Gary) Lyons, George Head and Casey (Genia) Head and Sheldon Holmes (little brother); siblings, Cora (James) Wheeler, Debbie (Ronald) Miller, Tammy (Darrell) Lyons, Danny (Rose) Savage, Terry Savage (Christine Hampton), Richie Savage (Cathy Baker) and John Savage; darling grandchildren, Sharayah Head, Chelsea Head, George D. Head, Korby Martinez, Brody Head, Casey Head, Jr., Jonathan Head, Jennifer Shinkle, Robert E. Forgrave, Jessee Forgrave, Sheldon Holmes, Jr. and John Lyons and her 25 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lana is preceded in death by her husband, George Head who died May 19, 2011; her siblings, JoAnn Thompson, Linda Green, David L. Savage Sr., and her in-laws, George and Dorothy Head.
Friends and family will be received 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 5, at the funeral home. Lana will then be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery next to her husband.
