I was at your house (it will always be Pete and Judy’s to me) before I got the call. Walking around, remembering how many times I’d come over to sit on your porch because I needed to talk to someone. I looked up to the sky and asked God, “So.....how long you gonna leave Pete down here without Jude?” Little did I know that He had already taken care of it. When we moved here, you guys were The Mayor and his wife and we were the youngsters on the block. You taught us how to live on the river. When you moved, it left such a huge hole in our hearts and life. We are now the old ones here. Pete.....your laughter will resonate in our ears until we meet again. Jude.....I never had a best best friend that I could tell anything too, who understood my love for my dogs, and could comfort me the way you did......until you. My heart hurts that I didn’t get into town to see you more often. I’m so sorry and I hope you know that. Steve and I will miss you both so much. Until we all meet up again......we love you.
