Alyssa Marie Thomas

November 24, 1984 — May 31, 2020

Alyssa Marie Thomas, 35, of Ironton, Ohio, died at 1:50 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2020 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born Saturday, November 24, 1984 in Zanesville, the daughter of Marnie (nee: Dusenberry) and Kirk Williams and Michael Thomas, all of Crooksville.

Undoubtedly, Alyssa was a wonderful daughter, sister, and grandchild.  Alyssa would want to be defined by her love of life and her joy for embracing the moment. She was beautiful and intelligent. She would do anything for anyone, and she could light up a room with her sense of humor and infectious laugh.  Alyssa had a passion for cooking, crafting, and drawing. She also loved photos which was easy to see by the display of images all over her walls. Her love for her family was boundless, especially the love she had for her brothers, Brandon and Brody and her grandparents, Donnie and Shirley Hinkle who never wavered in showing Alyssa unconditional love, patience, and devotion.

Alyssa was a 2003 graduate of Crooksville High School and a 2009 graduate of Hocking College where she received her Certified Optician certificate.  She was currently employed at Tudor’s Biscuit World in Ironton.  She formerly attended Rose Farm Church of Christ.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her parents; her brothers, Brandon Williams and Brody Williams; her sisters, Amanda (Jeremiah) Wisecarver and Scarlett Thomas; her grandparents, Shirley and Don Hinkle, Roger Dusenberry, Vicki and Jack Hartley, and Doug and Barb Williams, nieces and nephews and her special nephew on the way, Beckett Williams.

Welcoming her into her Eternal Home are her grandparents, Kay and Ralph Thomas; her great grandparents, Bob and Clara Rambo, Mae Dusenberry, Clarence Dusenberry and Zell and Doc Whitehouse.  Also, greeting her with doggy kisses is Sadie Mae.

Family and friends are invited to visit 5:00 PM-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Funeral services and a celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 5 at the funeral home with Pastor Carolyn Hoskinson as celebrant.  She will be laid to rest next to her grandparents in Crooksville Cemetery.

Due to current medical conditions, social distancing, face masks (required) and building occupancy will be enforced.
