Aalyiah Nicole Bowen, 22, of Corning is now walking and talking in the streets of heaven. Her beautiful soul left its earthly body in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, March 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Aalyiah was born the angel baby to her parents, James and Marie (Irvin) Bowen on February 24, 1999.
She was a miracle child, having survived and beaten the odds several times. Aalyiah battled cerebral palsy, even with the chains of her disease, she will always be remembered for the deep belly laughs, and bright smiles. Her parents spent a lifetime being sure that Aalyiah was wrapped in joy, her innocent love is and will be deeply missed.
Something altogether great and amazing must be waiting on the other side of this mountain… otherwise the journey wouldn’t be so hard.
Left to mourn her passing are her parents, James and Marie Bowen, her brother, Christopher Irvin and her grandparents, James S. Bowen, Donna Smith, Kathy A. Berger and Paul Irvin and her great-grandmother, Karen Pitcock.
Welcoming Aalyiah into eternity with open arms are her great grandparents, Elizabeth and Stanley Bowen, Bob Pitcock, Madge Nelson and Sue Stull, as well as, her uncles who adored her, Andrew M. Irvin and Edward Tope.
Friends and family are welcome to mourn, Monday, March 15, 2021 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Aalyiah will be cremated following services and will be interred on her family’s plot in St. Joseph Cemetery.
