Walter C. Head

Walter C. Head, 88, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 2:45 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville following a brief illness.

Walter was born August 2, 1923 in Ironspot, the son of the late Jackson and Martha Carroll Head.

Mr. Head was a retired mold maker at Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery. He served our country in the US Army in WW2.

Walter is survived by his daughters, Angela R. Head of Nashport, Theresa (Robert) Dolen of Crooksville and Patricia K. Hinkle of Roseville; his sister, Louisa Lanning of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Theresa (Marcus) Gause, Lyndsey Hinkle and Jarriod Rapol; his great grandchildren, Shannon, Savanna, Sarah, Spencer, Jayden and Will and his best friend, his dog, Bobby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Ann DeSarro Head who passed away June 2, 2003; his son-in-law, Bill Hinkle; his grandchild, Chad Rapol; his brothers, George Head and Robert J. Head and his sister, Bertha Gill.

Family and friends will be received 12 noon until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Walter's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial and commital service will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, south of Crooksville with full military honors.
