Virginia M. Kenny

Virginia M. Kenny, 95, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 1:20 AM, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room in Zanesville.

Virginia was born November 9, 1919 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary R. Sanborn McKinney.

She attended one year of college at Ohio Central Business College. Mrs. Kenny worked as a secretary at the Crooksville China Company, The Hull Pottery Company, and Crooksville North School. She had also worked at the Crooksville Library and the New Lexington Senior Center. She was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville and was a life member of Carnation Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star of New Lexington.

Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Virgenea and Gary Roberts of Brookville; her grandchildren, Michelle Robert, William (Brittany) Roberts and Douglas Roberts; her sister, Nancy Moorehead of Worthington; her brother and sister-in-law, James 'Gee' and Bettie McKinney of Crooksville; four nieces, Melissa Harrop, Molly Galermo, Kathy Hutchins and Jennifer Stenson and nephew, Thomas Moorehead.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenny who passed away June 7, 1976; her infant twin children, Keith and Karen Kenny and her brother, Thomas McKinney.

Family and friends will be received 12 noon-1:30 PM, Friday, May 22 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Virginia's life will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
