Terrie Lynn Schultz, passed away tragically on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Newark, Ohio from injuries sustained during a housefire.
She was born one of four siblings on September 7, 1957, to her mother, Carole (Bright) Kelly and her late father, Andrew Lako.
As a beloved member of the United Ancient Order of Druids, Terrie embraced the rich traditions and values that guided her throughout her life. Her passion for nature was evident not only in her involvement with the organization but also in her cherished hobby of gardening. Terrie found immense joy in nurturing her plants and tending to her garden, where she particularly loved growing green beans alongside her partner. This shared pastime allowed them to cultivate not just vegetables, but memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew them. Terrie had an innate talent for crafting beautiful jewelry and necklaces, pouring her heart into every piece she created. Unfortunately, her battle with illness hindered her ability to continue this beloved craft, but her passion for art and creativity resonated in many ways throughout her life. She was known for her love of tie-dye, embodying a colorful personality that brightened the world around her.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her partner of 12 years, Brandy Gault; her daughters, Carol (Josh) Hultgren and Sarah (Sean) Schultz-Smith; her mother, Carole Kelly; her siblings, Tammy (Lynn) Ferguson, Steve (Becky) Lako and Jamie (Diane) Lako; her grandchildren, Levi Hultgren, Jonathan Gault and Wesley Gault; her step-mother, Lynda Lako and her step-brother, Billy (Kim) Schwing.
Terrie is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Lako; her step-father, Charlie Sperry and her step-brother, Guy Schwing.
In keeping with Terrie's wishes, she will be cremated with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
