Stella M. Spires

Stella Mae Spires, 70, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 3:50 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born April 17, 1941 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Charles and Sadie Dobbs Lovingshimer.

Stella was a homemaker and former area pottery worker. She was a former member of Franklin Ave. Church of Christ, Roseville.

Mrs. Spires is survived by her daughters, Kathy Reynolds of New Lexington and Tina (Ken) Keller of Buckeye Lake; her sons, Ronnie (Shelby) Spires of New Lexington and Charles "Butch" (Teresa) Spires of Roseville; her daughter-in-law, Mary Tracy Smith of Marietta; her sisters, June (Ron) Reinsheild of Bremen, Ruth (Hayes) Kinney and Shirley Downing all of Crooksville and Rose Tignor of Newark; her brothers, Paul (Brenda) Lovingshimer and Carl Lovingshimer of Cannelville; nine grandchidren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy A. "Sonny" Spires who passed away July 19, 2007; her son Leroy H. Spires; brother Charles Lovingshimer and sisters, Betty Love and Mary Lovingshimer.

The Spires family will receive visitors 1-3 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 19 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME. 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Stella's life will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 20 with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
