Stanley William "Mike" Riley, 66, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away at 9:55 PM, Friday, August 17, 2012 at OSU Hospital in Columbus.
He was born August 13, 1946 in Roseville, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Arlean White Riley.
Mike was a former pottery worker and former employee of Ballas Eggs in Zanesville. He served our country in the US Army during Vietnam and he was a member of the Roseville American Legion 71.
Mike is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sandra Klingler Riley; his step-children and their spouses, Ruth and Tom McCafferty of Somerset, Jason and Heather Hammer of Crooksville and James 'Champ' and Kimberly Fraunfelter of Beverly; his sisters, Carol (David) Starrett of Zanesville, Patsy Schiermeister of Augusta, Kansas, Donna (Sonny) Elson of Philo and Betty Jo Newville of Roseville; his brother, Larry 'Zeke'(Lori) Hammer of Roseville; nine grandchildren, Sara Marie, Michelle and Tommy McCafferty, Sarah Rose Filkins, Heidi Hammer, C.J., Hallie, and Faith Fraunfelter and D.J. Klingler; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Hammer; special niece, Deborah Hammer and two brothers, Johnny and Jim Riley.
Family and friends will be received 5-8 PM, Monday, August 20 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Mike's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 21 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville with full military honors.
