Shirley Ann (Rosser) Wilson

Shirley Ann Wilson, 83, of Thornville died in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in her home with her devoted daughter by her side.

She was born one of 17 children on March 19, 1939, in Roseville to the late John and Edith (Riffle) Rosser.

Shirley was a loving soul, a darling mother, and a dedicated grandmother. She spent her life making a home for her family. She leaves behind a love so strong it continues to comfort her family even though she is gone.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her daughter, Jodi (David) Stickdorn; her siblings, Sandy (Jim) Savage, Diana (Kenny) Harris, Roger (Lou) Rosser and Larry (Judie) Rosser; her darling grandchildren, Timmy (Tricia) Stickdorn, Nicole (Chris) Carr, Nathan (Erica Medley) Wilson, Jason Wilson and Natalie Fletcher; as well as her beautiful great-grandbabies, Davis Stickdorn, Kade Vessels, Clara Vessels, Hunter Carr, Tyler Carr, Brayden Carr, Emma Wilson, Alli Wilson, Ayden Wilson, Camron Roth, Lexi Fletcher, Sophie Wilson and Jason Wilson, Jr. Shirley also leaves behind two fur companions who never left her side, Belle Belle and Maggie.

In addition to her parents, welcoming Shirley into eternal life are her husband, Joseph Wilson who died December 17, 2016; her daughter Karen Wilson, her son, Jimmy Wilson; her grandson, Joseph David Stickdorn and her siblings, Patricia Stover, JoAnna Bateson, Judy Thomas, Eleanor Starner, Evelyn McLean, Richard Rosser, John Rosser, William Rosser, Gary Rosser, Jimmy Rosser, Donald Rosser, and Ronald Rosser.

Friends and family will be received from 3-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 1 at the funeral home with Stan McHenry presiding. Shirley will then take her final ride courtesy of her grandson to her final resting place beside her husband in Iliff Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s name to the Perry County Dog Shelter, 1650 Commerce Dr., New Lexington, Ohio.
