Sheldon R. Wahl

Sheldon R. Wahl, 75, of Crooksville, passed away at 10:15 PM, Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home, following a brief illness.

He was born February 28, 1940 in Roseville, the son of the late Randall and Ruth Harvey Wahl Luckett.

Sheldon served his country in the United States Army. He was a life-long salesman having worked for 93 Computers in Crooksville, Tansky Automotives in Zanesville and the Western & Southern Life Ins. Co. . He was a previous member of the Crooksville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1979 and the Sons of the American Legion in Roseville. In past years, Sheldon was an avid golfer, he was a fan and enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Sheldon is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Janice Russell Smith Wahl of the home; his sons, Chris (Susan) Smith of Portersville and Richard Wahl of Texas; his sister, Aleesha Briggs of Georgia; his brothers, Tony Luckett of Georgia, Joey (Janice) Luckett of Dublin, Ohio, Nathan (Brenda) Wahl of Zanesville and Bob (Patty) Wahl of Indiana; his grandson, Christopher Wolfe; his special great-niece, Nicole Sanna; his special family friend, Candy McGilton; his basset hound, Daisy and his cats, Spike and Patches.

In addition to his parents, Sheldon was preceded in death by his step-father, Dick Luckett, his brothers, Dickey Luckett and Richard Wahl.

Friends and family will be received, 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 104 N. Main St., Roseville. Funeral services and a celebration of Sheldon's life will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the church with Rev. Albert Laese officiating, additional calling hours will start one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Roseville.
