Sara Lynn Riggs, 18, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on Thursday in Morgan County.

Sara was born March 20, 1997 in Zanesville, the daughter of Susan (Dalrymple) Riggs and Ronald E. Riggs both of Crooksville.

She was a student at Foxfire School in Maysville from which she would have graduated this spring. Sara gave the most generous gift imaginable by being an organ donor so that others lives might be saved.

In addition to her parents, Sara is survived by her mother's significant other, Darrick Emory; her father's significant other, Cynthia Rice; her brothers, Lane Mitchell Riggs and his finance, Kassidy Dye of Crooksville and Tanner Lee Dalrymple of San Antonio, Texas; her nephew, Kale Mitchell Riggs; her maternal grandparents, Dick and Brenda Dalrymple of New Concord; her paternal grandparents, Gene and Elaine Riggs of Crooksville; her paternal great grandmother, Leone Finney of Temple, Texas; her aunts and uncles, Shellie and Bobby Anderson of Crooksville, Kacey and Mark Scott of Zanesville and Jennifer and Mike Chenault of Hebron; her special friends, Dave and Lorain Hughes of Crooksville; her very best friend, her dog, Rylee and many more friends and relatives, too many to name.

Sara was preceded in death by her boyfriend, Dusty Wallace who passed away in the accident; her maternal grandmother, Pamela (Locke) Lawyer and her great grandparents, Robert and Joyce Locke, Arnold and Thelma Riggs, Betty Nichols, William Dalrymple, and Lee Finney.

Family and friends will be received 2:00-8:00 PM. Thursday, March 24 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Sara's life will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 25 at First Hope United Methodist Church, 102 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Sara Lynn Riggs Donation Fund at Waterford Bank, Crooksville. These donations will be distributed by the family for worthy causes in memory of Sara.

Following the interment, lunch will be hosted for the family and friends at the Crooksville-Roseville VFW Post 9090, Crooksville.
