Sandra Kay (Hendricks) Steimer

Sandra Kay Steimer, 74, of Crooksville died at 10:50 AM, Sunday, July 8, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born, May 6, 1944 in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late Guy and Edith (Roach) Hendricks.

Sandy was a homemaker, where she raised her children and helped care for her family. She also ran the administrative side of her husband’s welding and repair business until retirement. She and her husband enjoyed spending their later years as snowbirds, where they traveled to the Florida Keys. Sandy was also a big fan of the Statler Bros and Elvis, she could always be found listening to and singing her favorite songs. Sandy absolutely loved the beach, and keeping with her wishes, following her cremation, her family will spread her remains on the beaches and in the ocean of what she considered paradise on earth.

She is survived in life by her husband of thirty-five years, George Steimer; her daughter, Lisa G. Rowe; her son, Dale Rowe (Teresa Caton) and her step-daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Henson. She is also survived by three siblings, Faye (Charlie) Ballard, Joyce (John) Hardy and Paul (Lesa) Hendricks, as well as, her sister-in-law, Doris (Walter) Hendricks.

In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by six siblings, Barbara Rich, Helen Baire, Frank Hendricks, Walter Hendricks, David Hendricks and Michael Hendricks.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM, Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sandra's name to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
