April 6, 1949 - January 11, 2024

Sandra Kay Riley, a strong-willed and loving woman, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, in Lancaster under FairHope Hospice. Born on April 6, 1949, Sandy brought immense joy and warmth to the lives of those around her. She was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a beloved member of her community.

She found fulfillment in her work as a manufacturer, leaving a lasting mark in the pottery industry. Sandy's talent and skill were appreciated and acknowledged during her tenure at Hartstone Pottery, where she dedicated many fruitful years.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sandy's true passion lay in being a homemaker and nurturing her family. She was the epitome of love and selflessness, raising her children Ruth McCafferty, Jason Hammer, and Champ Fraunfelter with grace and devotion. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Sandy radiated pure joy whenever her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren entered the room. Known for her generous nature, she found immense pleasure in showering them with love and spoiling them with affection.

In her leisure time, Sandy found solace in the pages of books and the excitement of a good game of BINGO. She reveled in the thrill of casting her line and the serenity of outdoor adventures, particularly when camping and fishing. Sandy's adventurous spirit remained undeterred throughout her life, and she cherished each moment spent exploring the great outdoors.

Sandy also played an active role in her community as a proud member of the Roseville American Legion Auxiliary Post 71. Her commitment to serving others and supporting veterans was commendable, and her contributions will be remembered fondly.

Sandra Kay Riley touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Ruth and son-in-law Tom McCafferty, son Jason Hammer and daughter-in-law Heather Hammer, son Champ Fraunfelter and daughter-in-law Kimberly Fraunfelter, as well as her dear siblings Susan Pletcher, Beverly (Vic) Myers, Stacey (Randy Hinkle) Klingler, Danny (Ann) Klingler, Dale (Jody) Klingler, Christy (Matt) Renick, Lori (Bryan Quinn) Klingler, and Angie (Christopher) Driggs.
