Samuel Melvin Wolfe, 51, of New Lexington, died in the evening hours of Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Newark following a month-long battle with COVID-19.
He was born one of eight children on January 17, 1971, a son to the late Carrol “Melvin” and Donna (Smith) Wolfe.
Sam was a hardworking construction worker, specializing in commercial projects for Robertson Construction for nearly 15 years. In his spare time, Sam was always busy at work building things, it mattered not what the project was, Sam enjoyed working with his hands. In addition to his handyman skills, Sam was a true lover of motorcycles. He had always owned Harley Davidson’s and rode them often. Sam will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his devotion to his wife and family.
Surviving Sam in life are his wife of 32 years, Lorie (Lacey) Wolfe of the home, his son, Jarred (Cameron) Wolfe, his siblings, Carolyn Kirkpatrick, Connie (Johnny) Johnson, Bonnie Wolfe, Chris (Jeannette) Wolfe and David Wolfe; his close nephew, Phillip Morgan and numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by two sisters, Vickie Lytton and Brenda Scaggs.
Friends are welcome to pay their respects from 12:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Sam’s brother-in-law, Johnny Johnson eulogizing. Sam will be cremated following funeral services.
