Ruth E. Loro,88, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 4:37 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville following an extended illness.
She was born April 19, 1923 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Rev. Lew A. and Norma Leslie Robinson. Ruth worked in Defense plants during World War 2, Timken Roller Bearing and Detroit Harvester in Zanesville, and RBM in Lancaster. Ruth was a Methodist by faith.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 48 years Gene Loro; hers sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Nancy Channel of Crooksville, Frank Loro of Flagstaff, Arizona and James and Melva Loro of Gilroy, California; her brother, Carroll Robinson of Crooksville; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald E. Channel;
daughter, Dianne Marolt; brother, Chester Robinson
and grandson, Tim Watts and her son-in-law, Jerry Marolt
The Loro family will receive visitors 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Saturday, March 5 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where funeral services and a celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday March 6 with Rev. Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. In keeping with Ruth's wishes, cremation will follow.
