Ruth Elizabeth Ferguson, 81, of Corning peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at 7:55 PM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at her residence.
Ruth was born on June 2, 1933, in Perry County, the daughter of the late Elmer and Nellie West Wesney.
She was a teller for the Perry County Bank for twenty-three years and was a former Board member of the Oakwood-Millertown Cemetery.
Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Elaine Ferguson of Corning; her daughter and son-in-law, Lea and Steve Bentley of Crooksville; her sisters, Rose Stalter, Rita (Dave) Dickson and Elaine (John) Ebert; her brothers, Richard (Helen) Wesney, Rolland (Marilyn) Wesney, Roy (Shirley) Wesney and Rodney (Doris) Wesney; her sisters-in-law, Joan Wesney and Pat Wesney; her grandchildren, Briann (Darren) Wooley, Alicia (Matthew) Grilliot, Adam (Rachel) Bentley and Jordan (Abbie) Bentley; her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Mason, Samuel, Addisyn, Caleb and Connor and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ferguson who passed away, June 1, 2009; her brothers, Raymond Wesney, Ralph Wesney and Randall Wesney and her brother-in-law, Wayne Stalter.
Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM-7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. In keeping with Ruth's wishes a dignified cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to the Perry County Cancer Alliance, P.O. Box 724, New Lexington, Ohio or the American Legion Post 327, 111 E. Main St., Corning. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
