Ruth Ann (Greuey) Watts

Ruth Ann Watts, 82, of Corning (Portersville), Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:40 AM, Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Genesis Perry County Emergency Room in Somerset following a sudden cardiac event.

She was born September 28, 1938 in San Toy, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bernard Greuey and Ruby (nee: Kronenbitter) Greuey Omen.

Ruth Ann was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.  She enjoyed reading and Facebook.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, as she followed her grandkids activities everywhere for school, sports and whatever else they were involved.

Left behind to mourn her passing is her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert Watts whom she married on November 30, 1957; her children, Lou Ann and Michael Holcomb and James Robert and Tara Watts; her siblings, Don (Ann) Greuey, Linda Swinehart and Sandy (Jim) Henery; her grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Frame, Matthew (Amanda) Holcomb, Dillon Watts, Hannah Watts, Dustin Watts, and Devin Watts and her great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Frame, Paige Frame, Lilah Frame, Scarlett Frame and Hadley Holcomb.

In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Sue Watts who died October 6, 1979; her step-father, Raymond Omen; her brother, Dick (Wanda) Greuey; her sister, Marlene Allen; her nephew, Butch Greuey and her brother-in-law, Dwayne Swinehart.

Family and friends will be received 4-8 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 10 at New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Portersville with Pastor Sharon Slowter as celebrant.  Ruth Ann will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
