Roy Dale Hinkle

Roy Dale Hinkle, 80, of Columbus, formerly of McLuney, passed away at 5 A.M., Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Mount Carmel East Hospital after an unexpected illness. He was born March 6, 1929 in McLuney, to the late Dwight Hinkle and Naomi Willison Hinkle. Roy proudly served in the United States Army and was a gardner for the Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C. He is survived by his sisters, Kay Vandemark of Columbus and Carole Nelson of Crooksville; brother-in-law, Stanley Paskell; his special friend, "Sheila"; and many nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna M. Hinkle, Mertie L. Bankes, and Marjorie P. Paskell; brother-in-laws, Rex Bankes and Sonny Nelson.
