Rosalie Mae Weaver peacefully died in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, April 13, 2021 with her family by her side following 96 years of a life well lived.
She was born one of five children to her parents, the late, James and Grace (Caton) Jaynes on May 1, 1924 in the family home in Roseville.
Rosalie was a gracious woman, mother, and grandmother. Being made a war widow at only the age of 20, Rosalie continued forward, strong in life. She went to work at the Nelson-McCoy Pottery in Roseville where she retired after many years as a trimmer and sponger. Her family acclaims her cooking and baking as “truly delicious”, especially her apple pies. Rosalie simply was a kind and loving person, she embraced all and felt affection for many.
Surviving her in life are her sons, Larry (Linda) Taylor, Gary (Ann) Weaver and Terry Weaver; her brother, Jack (Helen) Jaynes; her grandchildren, Stefani Weaver, Scott (Mary Anne) Taylor, Jodi (Jim) Scheiber and Kristy (Nick) Scheer; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Landon Taylor, Quinton Taylor, Nick Scheiber, Zach Scheiber, Justin Hughes, Kellen Hughes, Stella Scheer, Sophia Scheer, Mylee Scheer and Amber Taylor. As well as, three great-great-grandchildren, Brantin Goodwin, McKenna Hughes and Claire Hughes.
In addition to her parents, Rosalie is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Taylor who died, March 25, 1945, her second husband, Robert J. Weaver who died December 2, 1974 as well as, her siblings, Evelyn Browning, Jimmy Jaynes, and Billy Jaynes.
Friends are welcome to visit the family from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St. Crooksville. Funeral services will be rendered following visitation at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rosalie’s son, Larry presiding. Rosalie will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
