Robert F. Miller "Rob" "Ropaw", 67, of Crooksville, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026 at the Genesis Emergency Room in Somerset.
He was born one of five children on April 9, 1959 to his mother, the late Freida M. (Kaufman) Miller.
Rob enjoyed nature and the great outdoors. He was passionate about bird watching, fishing and survival. He often said that when he went fishing with his family and his line was in the water that "In this moment, everything is just right in the world." He was constantly assisting and lending a helping hand with everyone that he encountered. Rob was very proud of his grandchildren who knew him as "Ropaw", and loved being a part of their lives. Rob was able to retire for a short time but he never sat idle. He was a religious man, he wore many hats, had many skills, and always kept his hands busy; whether it be gardening, troubleshooting, tinkering, repairing, building or just cooking...he poured a piece of himself into whatever task he set to accomplish.
He loved everyone! Remember him fondly. Know that if you knew him he is staring down at you with proud admiration and affection in his eyes.
Left behind to mourn his passing are his children, Denver Miller, Forrest (Amber) Miller and Misty (Eric) Reed; his grandchildren, Caulin (Lacie) Wilson, Sage (Bella) Reed, Daisi (Jordan) Reed, Talon Reed and Taydem Reed; his great-grandchildren, Cleo Faith, Reese, Lake and Archie Robert; his siblings, Elaine (Chris) Young, Charlene Hamilton, Scott (Bobbi) Miller and Chuck (Linton) Miller as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to his mother, Rob is preceded in death by his wife, Jo-lena Davis; his son, Jimmy Gregory; and other various loved ones.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects from 4-6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21, 2026; at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Following services, Rob will be cremated and returned to his family.
