Robert B. Marlow, 74, of Crooksville (Rosefarm), Ohio passed away Monday evening, November 19, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room in Zanesville following a sudden illness.

Bob was born January 31, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late William B. and Olive Bennett Marlow.

Bob served his country in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He retired from the Sunnyhill mine of Peabody Coal Company near New Lexington. Mr. Marlow owned and operated Marlow's Tree Farm and Nursery in Rosefarm, together with his family.

He was a member of American Legion Post 222 in Crooksville, McConnelsville Eagles Lodge, Moose International and was a social member of VFW Post 9090, Crooksville-Roseville.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Amspaugh Marlow; his daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Lupcho Nikolovski of Pickerington, Tina and Ronald Lambert of Zanesville, Linda and Joseph O'Rourke of Delaware and Brenda and Kristopher Oiler of Groveport; his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Marlow, Jr of Roseville, Jim and Susan Marlow of Orrville, Bill Lee Marlow and W. Bryan and Kathryn Marlow II of Wooster; his grandchildren, Michelle Confere, Larry Adkins, Jr., Jacob and Mathew Marlow, Olivia and Colin O'Rourke, Luke Nikolovski, Melanie and Anna Oiler and Audrey Marlow; his great grandchildren, Natalee and Austin Confere and his sister, Jean Newlon of New Lexington.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, William V. Marlow.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 21 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 23 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney with full military honors.
