Raymond B. Collins

Raymond Buckley Collins of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 6:23 AM, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan ER in Zanesville following a sudden illness.

Ray was born in Athens County, the son of the late Harlan and Emma Preston Collins.

He was a carpenter by trade, being co-owner of Gossman & Collins Construction. Ray was very proud of his design of the "Trigger Champ" wild turkey calls and, together with his wife, Helen, he manufactured and sold the calls in this area. He was a member of Rosefarm Church of Christ.

Ray is survived by his children, Sandra, Kay & Jim, Dan & Lynette and Ted & Linda; his sisters, Glenna, Blanche and Betty and his brother, Bill and many other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lillian Schwartz Collins who passed away May 1, 2003 and his brother, Frank.

In keeping with Ray wishes, he will be cremated. GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE is caring for the Collins family.
