Pauletta Faye Reed

Pauletta Faye Reed, 75, of Zanesville, Ohio formerly of Crooksville passed away at 6:34 AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville after a sudden illness.

She was born October 30, 1948 in Corning, the daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret (nee: Kranyik) Walton.

Pauletta had worked at many different jobs in her life including TRW in Crooksville, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Pick-n-Save, all in Zanesville, Bryant’s in New Lexington, Englefield Oil Company and Forever Dads . She dearly loved spending time with her family.  She loved baking cookies with her grandkids and great-grandkids who called her 'Grandma Cookie'. Pauletta enjoyed working puzzles, gardening and yard work with her special friend, Bob and she was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sadly missed by all.

Left behind to mourn her passing and carry on her legacy are her children and their spouses, Brenda Reed, Tim and Rhonda Reed and Bob and Denise Reed; her siblings, Carole (Robert) Howell, Ann (Jack) Kreitz and Donna (Rodney) Archer; her sister-in-law, Mitzi Walton; her beloved grandchildren, Travis Reed, Trevor Reed, Amy Reed, Lyndsay (Daniel) Casto and Bayley (Alex) Bohn; her treasured great-grandchildren, Acelynn, Makaylee and Bryor Casto; her very special friend and companion, Bob Newman and his family, Julie (Brad) Shriner. Clint (Trish) Newman, Brandie and Dustin Shriner and Simon and Lucy Newman.

In addition to her parents, Pauletta was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Reed who passed away August 7, 2004; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Reed and her siblings, Erma (Frank) Blake and Paul Walton.

Family and friends may visit to pay respects beginning at 10 am, Monday, July 1, 2024 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home with Chaplain William Blair as celebrant. Pauletta will be laid to rest next to her husband in Zion Cemetery, Portersville.
