Paul E. Theisen

Paul Edward Theisen, 74, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 11:34 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born August 28, 1942 in Corning, the son of the late Fred and Gladys (Harrington) Theisen.

Paul was a very accomplished union bricklayer, being a 52 year member of Bricklayers Local 44 of Ohio and Kentucky. He was very meticulous in his work and took great pride in every brick he placed. He was a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers and the Allied Craftworkers.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diana (Ross) Theisen; his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kari Theisen of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Ross, Alli and Jailynn; his sister, Janice (Jack) Thompson of Junction City; his brothers, Bill (Jane) Theisen of Nelsonville, Dick Theisen of New Straitsville; his sister-in-law, Carol Theisen of Somerset; his brother-in-law, Glenn Carr of Corning.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, David Theisen; his daughter-in-law, Tina Theisen; his brother, Jack Theisen, his sister, Janet Carr; his sister-in-law, Juanita Theisen; his mother-in-law, Buelah Ross and his father-in-law, Toe Ross.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 8 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Paul's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 9, at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Penrod officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Crooksville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Paul's name to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, OH 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
