Paul Kent Nichols

(Paul) Kent Nichols, 72, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 3:16 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville with his family by his side.

He was born October 17, 1950 in Morgan County, the son of the late Paul and Velma (nee: Parsons) Nichols.

Kent was retired from the Burr Oak Water Treatment Plant where had worked as a district manager.  In his leisure time, Kent loved to spend time with his wife riding their motorcycle, especially in the mountains and going to movies.  He was a very talented and generous handyman and was always eager to help everyone and anyone.  He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

Kent’s legacy will live on in his family through his wife of 52 years, Belinda (nee: Collins) Nichols; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Jason Bankes; his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Nichols; his grandchildren, Cross (Graison) Nichols, Rylee Nichols, Ella Nichols, Avery Bankes and Aidan Bankes; his great-grandson, Archer Nichols; his siblings and their spouses, Kathy and Larry McLaughlin, Curt and Pat Nichols and Craig and Carla Nichols; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Collins; his father-in-law, Bill Collins; his numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and his beloved furry friend, Hubie.

In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his son, Jason Nichols who died October 7, 2015; his sister, Kristy Nichols and his brothers-in-law, Rob and Tom Collins.

Family and friends are invited to visit and pay respects to Kent and the family 4-7, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville where funeral services and a celebration of Kent’s life will be held at 7 PM with Stan McHenry as celebrant.  Following the services, Kent will be cremated.
