Paul Jeffery "Jeff" Harris, 68, of Crooksville passed away at 4:03 AM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Jeff was born October 27, 1946 in Zanesville the son of the late Edgar "Ned" and Sarah Wolfe Harris.
He served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Jeff worked in the service department for Sam's Club in Zanesville.
Jeff is survived by his wife Glenola Richardson Harris of the home; his son, Dr. Joshua D. Harris of Houston, Texas who had an incredibly close and special relationship with his father and considered him his personal hero; his sisters, Darla (Wib) Kirk of Kentucky, Sally Harris of New Lexington, Ruth (Ruben) Webb of Somerset, Rhonda (Doug) McClintock of New Lexington and his special sister-in-law, Pam Harris; his brothers, Ron Harris of New Lexington, John (Connie) Harris of Nevada, Steve (Patty) Harris of New Lexington, Kirk (Susan) Harris of Arizona, Brian (Julie) Harris of North Carolina, Ben (Linda) Harris of Thornville; several nieces and nephews and his loyal Dachshund, Darby.
Friends and family will be received 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Jeff's life will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 2 at the funeral home with Ben Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery with full military honors.
