Patricia Joan Tewksbury

Patricia Joan "Patty Jo" Tewksbury, 88, of Huntingburg, Indiana, formerly of Crooksville, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 13, 1929 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn Rambo Heskett.

Pat and her late husband, Howard, worked together designing and building beautiful wooden furniture and crafts. After the completion of a piece, Pat painted her own various designs on them, with her specialty being her flawlessly rendered apples. She was a very accomplished seamstress and quilter. Together with her husband, Pat was a very active member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville. She is a member of the Carnation Chapter 167 OES in New Lexington. In addition, Pat is a lifetime member of the United Methodist women where she held several offices and was a part of the Mary Helen Games Circle.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Elaine Tewksbury of Huntingburg, IN; her sister, Sally (Gerald) Hammer of Crooksville; her son-in-law, Kevin Cale of Chester, VA; her grandchildren, Michael (Marci) Tewksbury, Jeffrey (Stacey) Tewksbury, Lindsey (Tyler) Hamblen and Kylie Cale and her great-grandchildren, Lily, Dax, Finn, Juliet, Kaylah, Alivia, and Isobel Tewksbury.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tewksbury who passed away August 14, 2010; her daughter, Deborah Cale who passed October 26, 2011 and her sister, Linda McGhee.

Family and friends will be received, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Pat's life will follow at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Gay E. Blau officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
