Norma Jean Allen

June 11, 1926 — December 4, 2017

Norma Jean Allen, 91, of Zanesville died on Monday, December 4, 2017 at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville following an extended illness.

She was born June 11, 1926 in Morgan County, the daughter of the late Clyde and Delvia Elliott Moore.

Norma retired from the American Match Company in Zanesville. She had also worked for many local potteries and attended the former New Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville.

Norma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen (Sue) Denny of Zanesville; her step-son, Robert (Judy) Allen of Zanesville; her sister, Shirley (Mark) Fuller of Malta; her very special nieces, Dee (Don) Myers, Connie (Charlie) Mason and Kelly Fuller; her grandchildren, Tammy Keys, Heather (Dan) Engle, David Allen and Danny (Missy) Durant; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Zack) Bunting, Emily and Sarah Keys and Carleigh Engle and her fur child, Maggie.

In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband, David Lloyd Allen, who died November 12, 2003; her daughter, Davalene Allen; her sister, Colleen Ann Moore and her brothers, Walter and Richard Moore.

Family and friends will be received 1:00-3:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2017 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Norma Jean's life will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. David Cady officiating. Burial will following Black Oak Cemetery, Deavertown.
