Myra Jean Beisser

Roseville

Myra Jean (Dozer) Beisser passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, a victim of metastasized thyroid cancer. She put up a courageous battle for 14 years. Prayers she received during her journey were greatly appreciated. She was born on July 1, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio and graduated from Roseville High School in 1968. She was a homemaker and her most loved hobbies were mowing grass and going to yard sales. 

Myra is survived by her best friend and companion of 22 years, Gary R. Head of Roseville; her children, Lori Jean (Gene) Smith of Blue Rock, Kenneth Dale Beisser, Jr., (Brenda Mills) of Roseville and Janet Lynn Wahl of Roseville; her grandchildren, Joshua J. Moore of Roseville, Megan Jean (Justin) Weingart of Cumberland, Mariah Jo Moore of Roseville, Clayton Dale Beisser of Columbus, Corey Michael Wahl of Roseville and Ashley Nicole Wahl of Roseville; her great-grandsons, Braxton Jay Moore, Tate Richard Weingart, Colt Kendall Weingart, Nolan Dale Beisser; her great-granddaughter, Layla Jo Evans; her mother, Myrna (Trout) Ross of Blue Rock; her siblings, Valerie Durst of Roseville, Teresa Schultheis of Zanesville, Kimberly (Michael) Hicks of Pickerington, David (Ella Jean) Ross of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and James (Holly) Ross of Blue Rock, as well as her sister-in-law, Melanie Ross (Paul Ray) of Zanesville. 

Myra is also survived by many other members of the Ross and Trout families, her in-laws of the Beisser family, many members of the Head family, her half-sisters and brothers of the Dozer family and many other relatives and friends. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. 

She is predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Kenneth Dale Beisser, Sr. who passed away on August 16, 2002; two brothers, Timothy Eugene Ross and Michael Dean Ross; two brothers-in-law, John G. Durst and Philip Pryor; a special sister-in-law, Sophia Beisser Strickler; her father, Orrin Eugene Ross; her biological father, Aubrey Dozer; a son-in-law, Michael Todd Wahl and her grandparents, Hobart McKinley and Minnie Audrey Trout and Chester and Mary Ross. 

Friends and family will be received 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Ronnie Spring officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and father of her children in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Stovertown, Ohio.
