Mildred F. 'Mim' Allen

Mildred F. 'Mim' Allen, 83, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 11:35 AM, Friday, October 14, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family following a sudden illness.

Mildred was born February 13, 1928 in Morgan County, Ohio, the daughter of the late John H. Bankes and Margaret (Potts) Bankes Newlon.

Mrs. Allen was a former beautician in Crooksville. She was a member of Christ's Church in Crooksville.

Mildred is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlyn and Robert Miller of Roseville; her sister, Ruth (Fred) Newlon Orr of Malta; sister-in-law, Maxine Bankes of Malta; grandchildren, Aaron (Jerri)Miller and Marci (Don) Zinn; great grandchildren, Caleb, Taylor, Seth, Clayton, Mara, and Isaac and her special canine buddy, Archie.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. 'Cotton' Allen who passed away February 5, 1994 and her brothers, Raymond and Maynard Bankes.

Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE.
Funeral services and a celebration of Mildred's life will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mildred's memory to Christ's Church, c/o Stan McHenry, 218 Race St., Roseville, Ohio 43777. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
