Mary Lou Hines

Mary Lou Hines, 75, of Crooksville, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home.

She was born January 13, 1939 in Crooksville to the late Gerald B. and Abby Marie Sutherland Conaway.

Mary Lou received her Registered Nurse's degree from Ultman Hospital in Canton. She retired as an RN from the Muskingum County Health Department. Together with her siblings, they are the last remaining descendants of Thomas Iliff, who founded the Iliff United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She is survived by her son, Harold Hines of Crooksville; her sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Larry Taylor of Crooksville; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Zona Conaway; her five grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Hines and her brother Paul Conaway.

Friends and family will be received 11:00 AM-2:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2014 with a celebration of Mary Lou's life at 2:00 PM at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE, with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery in McLuney
