Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane Brown, 68, of Crooksville, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:56 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her son's residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 12, 1947 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Benny and Donna Faye (Braglin) Watts.

Mary Jane retired from Glasfloss in Crooksville. She was a former employee of The Hull Pottery Company and a proud member of The Hull Pottery Association. She was the former director of the Crooksville Youth Center. Also, she previously attended the Methodist church and the Faith Center Church, both located in Crooksville. She was a 1965 graduate of Crooksville High School.

Mary Jane was a loving and giving person and she took all kids that she encountered under her wing and treated them as if they were her own. She has a deep love for her Lord and instilled that love in her children and encouraged everyone to find their own path to the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years and the love of her life, Wayne Brown whom she married on May 14, 1965; her daughters, Kelly Bresett of Crooksville and Candi (Andy) Apperson of Chandlersville; her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Dee Brown of Crooksville; her brothers, Paul (Judy) Watts of Hastings, Florida and Jerome (Peggy) Watts of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Keeley (Ryan), Faith, Delbert (Jen), Kimberlee (Jason), Justin, Bradley, Dakota, Layne, Shelby, Karina, Draven and Tristen; her great grandchildren, Kyrah, Noah and Jackson and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Beverly) Brown, Donna (Chuck) Wood, Terry (Beverly) Brown and Kay (Butch) Ansel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jonathan Brown; her son-in-law, Tyroan Bresett ; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lorena and Donald Brown and her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry 'Nugget' and Becky Brown and Nancy Watts.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, December 14 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Mary Jane's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 15 at the funeral home with Pastor Peggy Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery next to her infant son.

In honor of the great pride she felt for her husband's service in the US Army, memorial contributions may be may to Crooksville American Legion 222, 200 N. Buckeye St,, Crooksville, OH 43731. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
