Marvin G. 'Shine' McHenry, 84, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 7:12 AM, Friday, November 4, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born July 30, 1932 in Roseville, the son of the late Elza and Margaret Ella (Dawson) McHenry.
Marvin retired from General Electric in New Concord. He served our country in the US Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 71 in Roseville.
Marvin is survived by his son, Ronald McHenry of Crooksville and Ron's girlfriend, Shearl Colborn and his brothers, Gilbert McHenry of Zanesville and Wilbert (Renetta) McHenry of South Zanesville.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rosalie (Burns) McHenry who passed away February 16, 1998; his sister, Ruth Wickham and his brothers, Burl, Samuel, Herbert and Bernard McHenry.
Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, November 6 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Marvin's life will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 7 at the funeral home with Pastor John Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Deavertown Methodist Cemetery.
