Martha Lee Cannon

Martha Lee Cannon, 81 of Thornville, Ohio passed away at 7:16 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark following an extended illness.

She was born March 27, 1929 in Roseville the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle Mae Rarick Pangle. Mrs. Cannon was a former pottery worker in area potteries and Essex Wire in Zanesville and was Methodist by faith.

Martha is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy & David Hartley of Reynoldsburg and Carla & Darwin Ransom of Thornville; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Michael & Kellie Cannon of Newark; sister, Ann Etta Zinn of Crooksville; brothers, Ray (Betty) Sands and Roy (Helen) Sands all of South Zanesville; four grandchildren, Bryan Hartley, Matthew and Amanda Mick and Chase Michael Cannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and James Sands and sister-in-law, Lizzie and Joan Sands.

The Cannon family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, October 7 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where funeral services and a celebration of Martha's life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 8 with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery near Jacksontown.
