Marilyn L. Higgins, 86, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 4:35 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville following a brief illness.

Marilyn was born June 25, 1927 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Marie Pemberton Cunningham.

Since 1957, together with her late husband, Roy, Marilyn was the owner and operator of Higgins Lumber Company in Ironspot. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Roseville, a charter member of Roseville American Legion Post 71 Auxiliary and Rose Mothers' Club also in Roseville and a former member of Wesleyan Guild.

Mrs. Higgins is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bill Mount of Zanesville; her son, Bob Higgins of Roseville; her granddaughters and their spouses, Melissa and Kyle Riggle, Jaime and Jason Schaumleffel and Lacey and Andrew Geyer and her great grandchildren, Madison and Jacob Riggle, Landon and Leigha Schaumleffel.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roy Higgins who passed away August 4, 2011.

Family and friends will be received 3:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 26 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 27 with Stan McHenry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery next to her husband.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roseville American Legion 71. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
