Margie Lou Gibson, 78, of Crooksville peacefully died in her home in the morning hours of Wednesday, March 9, 2022, following a long battle with COPD.
She was born one of three children on April 11, 1943, to her late parents, Charles, and Joan (nee: Rinehart) McCabe.
Margie was an incredibly hard worker, she spent most of her life working 12 hours a day to support her family. Finally, after a successful 30-year career as a visual inspector for PCC Airfoils, Margie retired. She spent her retirement fawning over Elvis, Bob Barker, and the hosts of her favorite murder investigation shows. Margie was fiercely loyal to her family and not afraid to speak her mind when the occasion arose. Her firecracker spirit, pretty eyes and nice laugh are sorely missed by her family.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Tina (Kevin) McGrath, Bill Allen, Patrick (Theresa) Allen, Mark Allen and his companion, Suzie; her sister, Carol Addington; her grandchildren, Christina (Michael), Josh (Tiffany), Doug, Jade (Brian), Austin (Rikki), Cody and Stevie, as well as her darling great-grandchildren, Brayden, Malia, William, Brady, Dominic, Devin, Damien, Payton and one on the way, Harmony.
In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie McCabe.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 5-8:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Margie will then be laid to rest in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
