Margaret M. "Peggy" Swingle, 98 passed away at 5:50 AM Monday, October 15, 2012 at her residence at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville.

She was Born May 18, 1914 in Crooksville, Peggy was the eldest daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Quinn) Rambo and was a former member of the Catholic Church of Atonement in Crooksville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Lemert Swingle who passed away in 1990. She was known by her sweet disposition, her sharp memory and as the blind lady who crocheted, a hobby she renewed after moving to the nursing facility in 2005.

A loving and precious mother, Peggy is survived by sons: Roger Swingle of Zanesville and Conrad Swingle of Chandlersville; daughters: Belita & Norm Ramsey, P.O. Box 246 Duncan Falls and Denise & Lester Armstrong of McConnelsville; five grandchildren: Amy & Ted Agin, Roger Swingle, Jr., Shane Swingle, Dustin M.& Julie Ramsey and Nichole & CJ Johnson; five great grandchildren: Abby Agin, Jake Swingle, Xander Ramsey, her namesake: Margaret Ramsey and Zoé� Ramsey; three sisters: Gertrude Blosser, Rita McNeal and Mae Papageorge all of Crooksville and one sister-in-law: Arlene Stotts. She was preceded in death by her sister: Anna Smith who died in June of 2012.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at The Goebel Funeral Home, 36 North Buckeye Street, Crooksville where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 with Fr. Dury officiating. Burial has taken place in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Glaucoma Research Foundation, 251 Post Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94108, www.glaucoma.org or to a charity of ones choice in Peggy's memory.
