M. Nadine Roberts

M. Nadine Roberts, 99, of Newark formerly of Crooksville died on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Thornville.

She was born October 15, 1918 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Reed Bess.

Nadine was a member of the former New Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Wessinger of Newark and Sharon Naderhoff of Thornville; her grandchildren and their spouses, Brad (Jody) Leckrone of Granville, Joy (Steve) Sheets of Marengo and Jill (David) Corbett of Six Mile, South Carolina and her great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Matthew, Andrew, Olivia, Madison and Zane.

In addition to her parents, Nadine is preceded in death by her husband, George F. Roberts who died March 4, 2001 and her brothers, William Leo Bess, Charles Harold Bess and Donald Reed Bess.

Family and friends will be received, 3:00 PM-7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Nadine’s life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Newark.
