Linda Yvonne Shirkey

Linda Yvonne Shirkey, 49 of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Roseville passed away at 1:05 P.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born August 30, 1961 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Gary Davis and Mary Ellen "Susie" Savage Davis. Linda was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a former employee of Friendship Pottery.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Shirkey; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Joe Broeckel of Columbus; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Lindsey Smith and Rickey and Ashley Shirkey all of Columbus; her sister, Tonya Dennis of Crooksville and Terri Abella of Zanesville; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Christy Fortney of Texas, Kenny and Tammy Davis of Virginia; her brothers-in-law and their spouses, Gary and Laura Shirkey of Carroll, Ohio and Cliff and Teresa Shirkey of Columbus; her four beloved grandchildren, Chandler and Rylin Smith and Caleb and Brody Broeckel.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 12 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where funeral services and a celebration of Linda life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery, McLuney.
