Leonard Sowers, Sr

Leonard Sowers, Sr., 60, of Crooksville passed away at 1:35 AM, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.

Leonard was born February 18, 1954 in Zanesville, the son of the late Leonard and Frances Music Sowers.

He was an area pottery worker and worked for B & B Caststone.

Leonard is survived by his daughters, Renee (Morgan) Redmond of Duncan Falls, Shelly (Jim) Henry of Crooksville and Jenny Sowers of Crooksville; his son, Leonard Sowers, Jr. of Zanesville; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and John Simmons of Crooksville; his brother, Richard Sowers of Crooksville; his companion, Mollie White of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Trisha Sowers, Lakota Redmond, Alex Williams, Darean Williams, Triston Sowers and Quinton Sowers and one great-grandchild on the way.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James P. Sowers and his beloved dog, Wrinkles.

A graveside service will be held, 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Roseville with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
