Lela M. Bobo

Lela Marie Bobo, 92, of Crooksville (Triadelphia), Ohio entered Heaven's gate at 6:45 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

She was born January 26, 1925 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Harvey and Bessie (Cavinee) Moore.

Lela was a former employee of Essex Wire in Zanesville. She was a dedicated homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a longtime member of Oakfield Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Bob) Martin of Roseville and Crystal Klingler of the home; her son, Roger (Emma) Bobo of Philo; her sisters, Velma Swain of Stockport and Lucille (Jim) Brandau of North Canton; her brother, Harold Moore of Bucyrus, five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence H. Bobo who passed away March 21, 1995; her son, James Bobo; her granddaughter, Janet Bobo; her grandson, David Bobo; her great granddaughter, Natalie McCune; her daughter-in-law, Mary Bobo; her brothers and their spouses, Rollin and Virginia Moore, Elmer and Evelyn Moore, Pearl and Donna Moore and John Moore; her sister and brother-in-law, Rosella and Harold Hartley.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Lela's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 16 at Oakfield Wesleyan Church, 3583 St. Rt. 13 SE with Pastors Dan Hinkle and George Hughes officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Oakfield Cemetery.
