Kenneth Everett King ,64, of Crooksville, Ohio (Deavertown) passed away at 10:10 AM Thursday at Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency Room.

Kenny was born September 1, 1947 in New Lexington, the son of the late Samuel E. and Doris Madeline "Madge" Givens King.

Mr. King had served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a former police officer with the New Lexington Police Department and a former dispatcher with the Perry County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church and Peerless Lodge 591 F. & A.M., both in Crooksville.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Trinda L. Clutter King; his daughter, Hope Ann King of New Lexington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene & Danny McCabe of Kentucky, Glenna Hammond of Lady Lake, Florida and Donna & Dave Carter of Richmond, Virginia; his brother, Samuel King of Richmond, Virginia; his granddaughters, Katelyne King (Adam Musser) and Kristine (Corey) Abram.

In additiion to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kit William King.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Peerless Lodge 591 will hold Masonic services at 8:00 PM. Funeral services and a celebration of Kenny's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 19 at the funeral home with Rev. David Cady and Rev. Gay E. Blau officiating. Burial will follow in Black Oak Cemetery, Deavertown.
