Judy Ann Matis

Judy Ann Matis, 75, of New Lexington, Ohio, formerly of Sayre died at 10:25 PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at SKLD Nursing Home in New Lexington following an extended illness.

She was born November 7, 1946 in Zanesville, the only daughter of the late Charles J. and Juanita M. ‘Bonnie’ (nee: Street) Matis.

Judy was a 1965 graduate of Crooksville High School.  She was a former employee of Essex Wire.  Her hobbies and interests included word find puzzles and Bingo.  She loved the many cats she had over the years.  Judy was Catholic by faith.

Left behind to mourn her passing is her cousin and caregiver, Christina (Keith) Luzadder; her aunts, Vernie Web, Emma Graves, Charlotte (Charles) Simpson, Ann (James) Wilson and Ann Street and many Horn, Matis and Street cousins.

Family and friends will be received 10 AM-1 PM, Monday, January 17, 2022 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Dick Newlon as celebrant.  Judy will be laid to rest next to her parents in Zion Cemetery, Portersville.
