John Robert Moore

John Robert Moore, 75, of Zanesville, Ohio passed from this life at 11:03 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his residence with his beloved wife by his side.

He was born Friday, March 18,1949 in Zanesville, the son of the late Philip and Helen (nee: Meade) Moore.

John was a 1967 graduate of Crooksville High School. Following graduation, he attended college and later enlisted in the US Air Force where he served our country during the Vietnam Era. In 1971, he married the love of his life Kathy (nee: Blaney) Moore and they began their journey through life together and their family, making their home in many diverse places and finally settling back home in the Zanesville area .

John was an account manager at RMX (Roseville Motor Express) in Avondale/South Zanesville.  He was a very avid golfer, when asked about his hobbies, it was said golf, golf and more golf. John was on the Board of Governors of the Ohio Golf Association and a USGA Committee member. He was a quiet and gentle man who loved his family and always had their best interest at heart.  He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and loving heart.

His legacy will be carried on by the family he leaves behind, his cherished wife, Kathy (nee: Blaney) Moore; his sons, John Michael Moore and Kyle Patrick Moore; his only surviving sibling, Sue (Stan) McHenry and his only grandchild, Megan Neonakis and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary ‘Libby” Donaldson, Georgann Tatman, Mollie Williams, Bill Moore and Emma Dunn.

As per John’s wishes, no services will take place.
