Jeannine C. Cady, 84, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 4:02 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

She was born September 7, 1932 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise (Ater) Price.

Jeannine was a registered nurse and had worked in various capacities of that profession. She worked at Bethesda Hospital, had served as the school nurse for Crooksville Schools, and she served as the well-child nurse for Perry-Ross-Athens-Vinton Health Services for the WIC Program. Jeannine was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville. Jeannine had served for more than 30 years as choir director and pianist for the former New Hope United Methodist Church prior to the church's merger with her current church. In addition, she had been a member of the Odds & Ends Singing Group and Fidelis Mothers' Club, both in Crooksville and she was currently a member of Southern Ohio Emmaus Community.

Jeannine is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and Chuck Rose of Crooksville, Richard and Jacqueline Cady of Thornville, Jeff and Brenda Cady of Newark and Rev. David and Amy Cady of Powell; her sister, Donna Long of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Doutt, James Jeremy (Amber) Powers, Jessica (Blake) Short, Justin Cady, Jennifer Moracco, Jordan Rose, Bethany Cady, Luke Cady and Clay Cady and her great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Bettger, Savannah Doutt and Caleb Doutt who all affectionately called her "NeeNee".

In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Cady who passed away February 15, 2016.

Family and friends will be received 2-8 PM, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Jeannine's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 18 at First Hope United Methodist Church, 120 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville with Rev. Gay E. Blau and Rev. David Cady co-officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone to gather for food and fellowship at First Hope Church following the burial.

The Cady family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the loving and caring staff of Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center and to the Greystone Hospice Group.
