Jeannette Elaine Boyce, née Bourdeau, was born on October 31, 1934, in the quaint town of Franklin, New Hampshire, and passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Her journey spanned over nine decades, marked by a spirited vitality and an unwavering dedication to the values she held dear.
Jeannette was renowned for her indomitable spirit and self-reliance, virtues that allowed her to live independently in her cherished home until the final winter season of her life. A lifetime member of the VFW Post 9090 and the Vietnam Vets Chapter 55, as well as a devoted member of American Legion Post 222, she embodied a steadfast commitment to those who served her country alongside her. Her vibrant passions were many and varied: she delighted in the thrill of gambling, with a particular affection for the slot machines and the communal joy of playing BINGO. In her younger years, she embraced the open road riding motorcycles, a testament to her adventurous heart. In quieter moments, Jeannette found comfort and company in her rocking chair, often surrounded by the neighbor ladies with whom she shared lively conversation. She enjoyed watching her country western movies, but most of all she loved gathering as a family and spending time with one another. She had an incredible fondness for Cardinals, the red birds will forever invoke her memory to her family. Above all, Jeannette Elaine Boyce was an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her caring nature and boundless love left a mark on her family, who remember her as a pillar of strength, wisdom, and tenderness.
She is survived in life by her children, Debby Evans, Cindy (Bob) Jackson, Jaye (Jan) Scott and Edd Boyce; her brother, Roger (Darlene) Bourdeau; her darling grandchildren, Ginger (Jim) Thomas, Tabi (Frank) Rushing, Trista (Steph) Jackson, Seth (Kayla) Scott, Kyle Lee Edward Scott and Jacy Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Jera Thomas, Jena (Jaiden) Robinson, Drake Tompkins, Abbie Tompkins, Calie Tompkins, Grant Easton, Hazel Easton, Olivia Easton, Slayde Easton, Avery Scott, Parker Scott, Trace Scott, Rhett Sicilian and Cacen Miller, as well as her god-son, Peter Sharon.
