Jeanette B. Wood

Jeanette B. Wood, 83, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 5:58 AM, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her residence.

She was born July 11, 1934 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Russell B. Burdette and Margaret (McCance) Burdette Theisen.

Jeanette was a retired secretary and bookkeeper, having been employed by John Wise Accounting and Norvell Hearing, both in Zanesville. She was a 50+ year member of Order of Eastern Stars in Philo, White Shrine in Columbus, Thea Court No. 5, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and served as President of Doris Golden Butterfly Club for many years. She was Protestant by faith.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Jerry Wood, whom she married on February 15, 2008 and her step children, Cindy, Shawn and Jason.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard E. Barnett who passed away March 8, 2005; her brother, Jack Burdette, her step father, Andrew Theisen and her step daughter, Teresa.

Private family graveside services will be held with burial in Crooksville Cemetery.
